My family and I moved to Church Stretton in December 2019 and St Lawrence school was one of our deciding factors. I'm from a bottom ten per cent income family and had free school meals so have first-hand experience of the challenges they present to children. A good school helped me attain a postgraduate education and a professional job and career in government Data Science and Project Management.

Now, most weekdays I do the school drop-off, collect and after-school childcare whilst during school hours I modernise our bungalow. I'm a Cub Leader on Tuesday evenings and from May through August I run Stretton Summer Volleyball in the town. I'm a long-distance hill walker, and a keen youth hosteller and I've led committees for outdoor and volleyball clubs. I'll be a pragmatic, helpful Parent Governor with questions and ideas to aid good decisions, actions and expectations.
